Acting President Gavin Norberg has issued a scathing response to the government of Dirtville following its announcement of support for the Natowan Monarchist Movement (NMM), criticizing the country's leadership, political legitimacy, and ongoing domestic instability.
"The government of Dirtville, very fake people, they lie. That's all they do, quite frankly, is lie. Big liars. I don't like liars. They said, 'Sir, why don't you like liars?' I said, 'I just don't.'
"And frankly, I don't even think Dirtville has a real government. Nobody does. Very strange government, very strange people running it. They call themselves Dirtville. Dirtville! What a name. Who names a country Dirtville? Sounds like something you find underneath your shoes. Terrible name, absolutely terrible.
"And their government is collapsing, by the way. Total disaster. Their economy is in crisis, their institutions are falling apart, their Senate building is gone. Gone! And these people, these very incompetent people, want to tell us that Natowa doesn't have a proper government? Give me a break.
"We're fighting a civil war, a tremendous civil war, and we're still passing legislation. We're still running the government. We're still holding elections. Very stable, very strong. Meanwhile, Dirtville can't even keep its own government together.
"They should worry about their own country. Fix your economy, fix your government, maybe fix the name while you're at it. Because frankly, Dirtville is a disaster. A complete and total disaster. Everybody knows it.
"And they said to me, 'Sir, how do you keep Natowa functioning during a civil war?' And I said, 'Because we have a government. A real government. Unlike Dirtville.'"
The remarks come amid continuing tensions surrounding the Natowan Civil War, with the Commonwealth maintaining its opposition to foreign support for the monarchist movement.
