Acting President of Natowa Thanks New Ridge and Central Mercia for Condemning Monarchist Insurgency

Following the outbreak of the Natowan Civil War on 20 October 2026, Acting President Gavin Norberg expressed his gratitude to New Ridge and Central Mercia for their diplomatic backing of the Commonwealth of Natowa. New Ridge reaffirmed its relations with Natowa, formally rejecting recognition of the Natowan Monarchist Movement (NMM) as either an independent entity or the legitimate government of Natowa. The statement also condemned the movement's return following the political crises earlier this year. Central Mercia, despite not being a direct ally of Natowa, similarly pledged its allegiance to the existing government. Its government classified the NMM as a "dangerous organisation" and declared support for the movement an offence. Both statements came from governments whose leaders personally support monarchism, highlighting their opposition to the NMM despite ideological differences with Natowa's republican government.
